Tea was first discovered in China around 5,000 years ago. As European explorers began to explore the Orient, information about Tea began to filter back to Europe.

Gorreana’s teas range from a variety of taste and flavors. They are rare and the standard for all other premium teas. These teas do not compare in taste and the quality to other teas. Gorreana Broken Leaf

Gorreana broken leaf tea had been a staple on European tables for over a century. Grown in the highly aromatic hills of the Gorreana estate, comes this fantastic breakfast tea that indulges the senses. Once you mix your boiling water with this fantastic loose leaf you witness what tea lovers calls a “dancing of the leaves,” where the water begins to turn a golden jaune as the fresh loose leaves ignite your tea.

This tea is perfect for those who like to add milk or sweetener to their tea. Higher in caffeine content then our green tea- still significantly much lower than a cup of coffee. Picked from the lowest leaf, this tea has s smooth aroma and taste, with very little in tannin. A European treat 5 generations in the making.

Gorreana Black Tea


Black tea is the most popular tea in North America accounting for nearly 85% of the market. Made from fully oxidized leaves and generally stronger in flavor containing more caffeine than less oxidized tea’s such as green and white teas. Unlike green tea which only stays fresh for about a year, black tea can last much longer due to the process of oxidation.

Gorreana Orange Pekoe

A rare organic tea grown high in the hills of Gorreana’s tea estate surrounded by exotic flowers that sent the leaves and bring out a unique flavor.

Pekoe tea grades are classified into various qualities, each determined by how many adjacent young leaves (two, one or none) are picked along with the leaf buds.

Top-quality pekoe grades consist of only the leaf buds, which are picked using the balls of the fingertips. The water transforms into a beautiful golden arrange color once infused with Gorreana’s premium organic pekoe tea/

Gorreana Green Tea

Green tea is the earliest from of tea produced, and unlike black tea is not oxidized. The leaves are picked fresh each spring and are immediately steamed to prevent oxidation, following with the rolling and drying or the delicate leaves to create this famous green tea! The resulting leaves infuse to create a light and refreshing beverage that should never be sweetened with sugar or diluted with milk. Prized for centuries for its health benefits, the growing popularity of green tea in North America is largely in part to the continued scientific findings of the believed health benefits associated with green tea consumption.

Here is a list of vitamins, minerals, and other compounds naturally found in tea:

Vitamin B1 (Thiamin):
Thiamin helps to build energy by converting energy from food. It is also needed for growth and reproduction. Further, it promotes better appetite and digestion.

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin):
Riboflavin is used for maintenance of healthy skin, eyes, and nerves. It also is an essential vitamin for proteins and energy metabolism.

Vitamin B6:
This vitamin helps to release energy from food and enhance the metabolism of proteins. It also helps the red blood cells formation and is an important compound in the regulation of the center nervous system.

Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid):

Theanine increases brain serotonin, dopamine, GABA levels and has micromolar affinities for AMPA, Kainate and NMDA receptors.
